Review Our ReformsOfficial Communiqué for Immediate Release
ADDIS ABABA, September 10, 2025 – Beza Consulting Engineers PLC today announced its official release from debarment by the African Development Bank Group (the Bank). This reinstatement, effective August 28, 2025, follows a thorough assessment by the Bank’s Office of Integrity and Anti-Corruption, which concluded that the company has successfully implemented an Integrity Compliance Program consistent with the Bank’s guidelines.
The reinstatement follows the conclusion of a fifteen-month conditional release period which began on August 21, 2023. During this time, Beza Engineering has undertaken a complete overhaul of its corporate governance and ethics framework, demonstrating its profound commitment to the highest industry standards.
“This is a pivotal moment for our company,” said a spokesperson for Beza. “We have used this period to diligently enhance our operations and have emerged a stronger, more transparent, and more ethical organization. Our new compliance systems are robust, and we are fully committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity in all future operations. We thank the African Development Bank Group for their cooperation during this period and look forward to once again contributing to vital development projects across the continent.”
The release from sanction allows Beza Consulting Engineers PLC to again participate in and be awarded contracts for any Bank Group-financed or Bank Group-executed projects.
